The Kiz Ney - Antalya is masterfully handcrafted in the foundational concert pitch of Turkish Classical and Sufi Music: Kiz Ney. Turned from first-grade dense bamboo reeds naturally sun-cured along the Mediterranean coastline of Antalya, it delivers swift acoustic response and immaculate tonal clarity.
Antalya coastal reeds benefit from optimal humidity conditions and intense Mediterranean sun exposure, resulting in dense fibrous structures that resonate vibrantly across all three octaves—from the rich lower breath (dem sesleri) to the brilliant upper registers.
Measuring approximately 68 to 72 cm, the Kiz Ney is the universal standard instrument for Turkish music academies, conservatory, Sufi ensembles, and studio recording artists.
